Custom Dock 1
This dock was designed for a client of Lyfe Marine LLC, a dock builder on Lake Norman, NC. The goal was to provide a dock that would maximize sq ft (up to 1,000), needing to reach deep water without the need for a dredge and have huge “curb appeal” while also tying into the architecture of the owners newly constructed home. The dock had to integrate some of the new materials and design components being offered by Lyfe Marine. This included an integrated light column fabricated by Lyfe. Lyfe has a ton of fascinating design elements and this feature really makes the docks living area, especially at night when it is lit up. As with all custom designs, this dock needed to consider the location that was ideal for placement of a dock that runs parallel with the shoreline, yet does not obstruct the clients open view to the sunsets. The design also needed to provide for ease of access to the boat to be moored in a covered and enclosed slip area with boat lift for the client’s 26’ boat. With features that all passed Duke’s rules regarding enclosures, multiple platforms, and roofs over docks, this masterpiece has become the marketing crown jewel for the folks at Lyfe Marine (the builder). The client was also very thrilled with the attention this dock design has solicited on Lake Norman.
