Why Work With Us?
Here is what makes our services unique:
Client-Inspired
Our design process is high-touch and highly participatory. As our client, you are an essential contributor to the design from the start. We rely on you to share your sense of style, personality, and vision for how your spaces will be used and “lived in.” We encourage you to explore your creativity, provide all inspirational photos, blogs, samples and be thrilled by the process. We feel this process gives you the freedom to explore truly inspirational design solutions for your project, making the journey just as special and personalized as the end design. At the end of our process, you will see your contribution in your design. You will be able to literally walk through and around your living spaces, appreciating them for how the spaces work for you.
Open Collaboration
The best projects result from open and active collaboration, where all parties work together to create the intended design solution. We advocate for a participatory, collaborative design process between you the client, contractors, and designer, where all voices are heard because we believe fresh perspectives and collective ownership and responsibility are key to a successful project —pushing the boundaries of what is possible so that we collectively create something greater than the sum of its parts. Although we are not architects, we are designers and the end in mind for our unique services is to provide you with a conceptual design you can take to working drawings.
Comprehensive Conceptual Design Process
Our design process is comprehensive and thorough, but the goal is simple. We want you to feel inspired and completely satisfied with the final design. Custom living space projects are highly personal and require big decisions. That is why we work with you every step of the way to help you make educated decisions about the project and to ensure the design reflects your personality, style, and unique concerns. Our process takes time and often requires exploring various ideas and alternatives. No detail should be left to chance. How do we make sure of this? The design is not final until you are completely satisfied. How will we know, you will be able to walk through the spaces in 3D. 3D is what makes our design process unique. You will be able to see and feel the spaces in your structures instead of having to conceptualize from flat 2D drawings. We provide for floor plans and layouts in the end, but we like to stay in the 3D world with online walkthroughs of your spaces prior to providing 2D floor plans.
Authentic, Genuine Advocacy and Absolute Integrity
We do not sell you. When we provide you with options, we state up front the challenges, both fiscal and feasible. There are a lot of considerations for the correct design and we are going to provide you the straight answers and if we do not have them, we will get you resources to get your questions answered. The main value proposition to our services is to put you in a great place with your design that will not have you caught up in change orders, scope creep, or inability to build your design. In this we will be your advocate to make sure you are completely satisfied with the layout of your structure and point out dynamics of the site and build that could potentially be a “gotcha” when you go to the next step in realizing your dream build. The integrity comes from us doing what we said we would do. When we commit to a deadline or a communication or a way that the process works, we stick to it and deliver. If something does come up that is outside of what has been promised, you can be assured you will know about it as soon as it is an issue.

Seeing the Big Picture + All the Tiny Details
A successful project requires a cohesive design that thoughtfully considers the big picture and the small tiniest of details. We start with making the big design decisions first (answering questions about budget, design style, overall form). This evolves into the high-level conceptual design which is one of the first things to catch your eye and having you enrolled. We provide for a 3D visual of the initial design and then with your consent, we transition into the details that provide for specifics that lay the ground work for your selections, but also provide for specific details necessary when you go to working drawings. Your final concept drawings will provide you with renderings of your structure from different angles. Colors and materials are integrated consistent with your design choices for these same renderings. Documented considerations for the build are called out in renderings and plans consistent with what was agreed upon and is documented clearly.

Your Design
That is correct, you can take your design with you. Although Rendering Services owns the intellectual property attached to your design, you own the ability to take what we provide and go to a state certified Architect, or Structural Engineer for the preparation of stamped drawings. Many building municipalities require stamped drawings and because our firm is not certified to provide such drawings, we provide designs with dimensions and renderings that allow for this process to go very smoothly for the structural engineer or if you wish an Architect prior to going to the PE. Because it is your design, you choose what the next steps are with your design. You may solicit multiple cost estimates, both for feasibility, but also with the goal of selecting a builder to work through the next steps. You have the flexibility to do this with partners of your choosing as it is your design!
In some cases, this may be a builder, but we strongly recommend a stop at a PE to make sure what we designed “can” and “may” be built structurally.
Our service offerings are unique, but they are just part of the process to realizing your dream. We have created this service offering carve out because we saw that clients like you want to have a platform to cost effectively come up with a design, see it in 2D and 3D and dial it in prior to going to an Architect, whose fees can be overwhelming, especially if you choose one that is selling you versus truly leaning into your ideas.
Although we are aware of many builders, Architects and Structural Engineers in our geographic area, we do not refer work to any of them. We want to keep our services separate from their agenda and focused on yours!
